photoSTRATHAIR HELICOPTERS have pilots that have extensive experience at fire-fighting both in New Zealand, Australia  and other overseas locations.

Our Fire-fighting experience extends over 1000’s of hours accumulated over many years.

Whilst STRATHAIR can cover all the important requirements for effective fire-fighting, in particular our services cover the following:

  • Available 24 hours per day
  • Bay of Plenty and all other regions in NZ can be serviced
  • Full ground staff support
  • Effective ground to air communications
  • On-site refuelling
  • Use of appropriate Collapsible buckets for the helicopters used
  • Collapsible buckets have adjustable flow rates.
  • Foam and retardants used if required
  • Full set of lifting and safety equipment
  • Experience in controlled burn-offs
